Do you know what variety it is? Do you plan on showing it this year, that is a shallow pot for an azalea?

Andrew, I think this is the satsuki Mike showed us last year, shi ryu no homare.

The trunk looks like made of roots, what is the material you put on top of the soil? It doesn't look like sphagmum moss

The trunk is roots. The top dressing is fine pieces of cedar.
