large yamadori casuarina

The re potting and initial styling was done first week of January, the tree seems to be doing well in its new pot.

Thanks Pavel,casuarina is a fast grower so you can expect to see its development maybe in 3 to 4 months

Very fantastic trunk movement, paralleled by tapering deadwood in the middle.

Are you going to make two equal domes of foliage or will you opt for a smaller dome on the smaller trunk?

I agree with you: large trunk bigger dome and small trunk smaller dome.
When do you start pinching the 'needles' to shorten them and make them ramify and compact?

Hi Cosmos,
I did some pinching last January leaving only about an inch, this tree is really a terrific grower, the branchlets are already 5 to 6 inches long. I will let it grow wild for two months more then select which branches to train as additional secondary branches

two casuarinas and this will be one of them. It is not yet that "ready' but I am aiming at ABFF 2012. I am so optimistic with this agoho, it has just been in formal training for about three months and you can see the improvements.
