Re: Large Casuarina equisetifolia
Hi Taner. Thanks!
Would you believe this is just a two man carry tree. because the tree is hollow inside. What you see as trunk is just matured bark. It is very stable though, It's like this already from the wild.

jun

Lennard and Mumra,
thanks!
glad you appreciate the initial design.
2 more years or less, this would look good and refined. Just posting early works of trees as usual for future thread updates and progress works.

jun

L.L.B.
apologies for the singular exclamation, the image of you next to the tree, was/is a bit overwhelming-
This is yet another tree that is not native and has trouble living in our heavy clay soils, plus it does not like our very dry season. They tend to fade or die after so many years.
It is informative to watch you work them, and for that I thank you.
I kinda a figure you have about 5 years or so of work ahead of you, to get this tree to be exceptional and I look forward to seeing your progress.
I did see a fairly old one with a really large trunk on a hill side over looking a bay at the sea, really beautiful.
Keep up the most excellent work, you have a lotta talent / ability bro., and I have to come admire you mightily over the few years, I have watched you on the Internet.
Pity we don't live closer.
Till later.
Stay Well.

Thanks LLB
For Casuarina, 5 years is way too long especially at this stage already, refinement and a bit of branch thickening can be achieved in two year time. If you won't touch these branches for 6 to 8 months it will thicken more than double. And with the right feeding formula it can be easily achieved.

Thanks Preng Jed!
I am working on Casuarina's lately because I will start by next week segregation of my garden based on species. And two new bonsai groups wanted to have a regular meeting and worshop in my newly renovated garden. I hope to see you there too bro.

Re: Large Casuarina equisetifolia
Ho ho ho,
Thanks L.L.B,
on our side Padre means Father and is used for Roman Catholic priests, if used as at all.
Amigo, is extremely rare, or not used at all.
As a sign of familiarity, you would be Jun - os as in - Hey, Jun -os old man, how yuh doing?
Thanks for the translation.
Until.
Khaimraj [ or as the Americans go - may I call you Kim? ]
Bro translates to brudderman down here.

Beautiful material Jun, wow! I would plant this in a round pot and style with multiple "fronts".
