Re: Larch - Jacob yamadori
Hi Lee
thank you for your nice compliment
Hi Machiel
I was far too much bother. Everything is resolved, according to a further development, how much it will develop callus. Due to the aggressiveness of Larch, I think the shari on the trunk will be right to let overgrow. What do you think?

Another amazing transformation of grotty material. Well done Karl.
These two trees give us renewed hope for the similar trees I know we all have lurking behind the shed somewhere!

Dear Pavel
Morea here ,
You made a beautiful tree , what a surprisingly transformation !!
Looking at the photoos here , i had the same ..."OOOHHH , what ????, YES !!!"
as i had , seeing You work and creating at Burrs !!
Wonderfull !!!
The pot ?
Does Kuba's tree need such a deep pot ?
The pot You show is so .............. deep
Think its a pity for the slanting , long design of the tree on the lefthand side.
Show You some photoos of pots and a drawing.
Enjoy
First the drawing.
The darker stripes reflect and bring out the lower branch movement.
The pot is in real like this pot i made ,
the shape colours and structure on the wall.
Here is a rectangle pot i made,
the darker lines also refer to the slanting design.
The lower branch could even end just over the rim of the pot.
Kind regards
Morea

karl thier that is beautiful tree .... i like it
pavel: circular pot isnt right for this tree ... it isnt too stabile . Square pot would be better..

Re: Larch - Jacob yamadori
I agree, a straighter sided pot would give better stability for Pavels tree.
Karl. Thats a wonderful transformation.

Dear Pavel
Thank You , im happy You like my suggestions !
The pot You refer to is already with an owner.
Showed it for inspiration and it is easy to make , You are making pots !!!
Ask Your potterfriend , for You to use different colours engrobe and a bit of shining glaze.
Pavel , actually i have been thinking a lot about this tree the past time.
Every time i did , the photoos You showed me at Burrs , of You hanging on the rock !!!
came to my mind.
Think its a pitty to put the tree in a traditionally shaped pot.
How about a Shellshape ? Half open bowl shape? Big cilinder cracked open shape?
How about Your thoughts ?
Kind regards
Morea

Hi Morea
Thank you very much for inspiring and nice comment. Choosing dishes certainly is not easy, but it's enough time. Thanks.
Hi Nik
Thanks for the comment. You have a good eye. I hope you're not angry.

Hi all
Update after one year.
Unfortunately, in May 2011 stopped growing the lower branch.
So I had a strong growth of another branch. Tree lot stronger. Today I finished the repair composition.
Greetings Pavel

Pavel, every time I write a comment on your posts, I'm constantly saying "Fantastic"...or something along those lines. And again here, what a transformation! You are very very good!
But I am curious, why did that branch die? I hadn't heard that Larches can have healthy branches just die off?
Chris

Thank you Chris.
Maybe after heavy frosts. Possible damage to the breakaway. I do not know.
Greetings Pavel
Thank you Andrei.
But is not the end.

I'm patiently awaiting your styling. I love larch, appreciate your handwork, and am having a son in Feb named Jacob so this thread has really peaked my interest!

Just shows what a good eye can make of some thing. Beautiful progression and I am awaiting the next restyle which I'm sure will be stunning
