yamadori larch
Hello Harry. I think the trunk is a little straight to be thinking literati. How about reducing the height by a third and train up a new leader. It could do with some more taper.

I think I will leave it for a year. It has only been in the tray since autumn even though it had loads of root. I dont have a lot of experience with larch so I might just do that will

Than it isn't even for sure it will survive. To be sure just leave it now as it is till next year.

Hi Harry,
Its a nice tree. I bought one on Sunday from Bonsai Boot Sale in Birmingham. about same side and thickness. I paid £15.
Just hope it survives. Was dug up at 4 am in the morning.
