Re: I found the right pot
Once again Jun, beautiful tree. You could put it in a cake pan and it would still be beautiful. A credit to your ability.
Thanks for showing.

thanks John.
Im not satisfied with the branch size yet specially the lower branches,,,the upper branches is almost ok but the lower parts need some more girt upgrade. 2 to 3 more years maybe and this would be a real winning tree.

jun

Jun,
my largest Murraya, is very similar to your tree. Perhaps sometime you can teach me how to properly care for these types of trees. Impressives density. Size of tree ?
Until.

ht of tree, the last time I checked is 35cm.
Combination of wiring and clip and grow technique. primary branches wired into placed then secondary and smaller branches clip and grow. two to three times defoliation per year then cut about two inches of growth per year. back budding is not a problem with this specie.

I think Will is asleep now. go ahead.
course sand for soil medium, if planted in a shallow pot. but during the growing period where you need a bigger pot or deeper one for that matter, stone sized( around 1-1 1/2 diameter at 25% of the bottom part then course sand for another 25% then the top 50% filtered sand.
initially full shade for about six months of the trees life then another 3 to 4 months under a net or partially shaded area.
then full sun exposure. but the specie can take 3 to 4 hours of full sun then shade in the afternn.
