dead wood on elm
I have a chinese elm that i posted on bonsai forum yesterday ..it has a lot of dead wood on the trunk...what besides lime sulfer will stop it from rotting away??? thank you john

Firstly LS will NOT stop it rotting away. I'm not familiar with what is available in your location. If you run a search here on the forums for deadwood or wood preserver etc etc, you will find quite a bit of information already.

In the US, MinWax makes a wood hardener. It will require occasional reapplication.

On Elm wood, I treat with the equivalent of Miniwax at least once a year.
