Bucket List
Howzit All,
O.K.... I'm sure that we all have a list of things that we like to do before we "Kick The Bucket". So what I want to know what is that "ONE" thing that you really want to do that is on that bucket list.
For me, I want to visit the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum.
A Hui Hou,

Re: Bucket List
I assume this is a bonsai-related "bucket list?"
I might have any number of more important things -- mostly grandkid related -- I'd put higher than bonsai stuff on any of my lists.
And remember, there are a few of us here that are a heckuva lot closer to needing one than you are.

Well, I was thinking more of an open list. Like I said, we all have a lot on that list but I just wanted to know if could that one thing that you really wanted to do. Just so happen that mine was bonsai-related.

Re: Bucket List
I have been to the Museum in DC but want to go back when the weather is cooler, it was at least 115 F the day I was there.
I am going on the China tour beginning 9/29 for about two weeks.
I have a deposit on Ben Oki's Japan tour in Feb.

I'm torn really....between getting to Japan for several weeks/months to have a really good look round....and, hiring a motor-home in the USA and getting to New England among many other places.
Other than that I'm happy with what I have managed to achieve.

Re: Bucket List
Well, my list is quite short! I had a quite serious angina attack yesterday while I was watering my bonsai in the afternoon heat which tells me my heart is on the fritz again!. Thank goodness I had a supply of Nirto glycerin tabs with me. I'll be more than happy just to have another spring and be able to put some of my near completed trees in nice containers. Something tells me it's time to start finding long term homes for my babies. On a good note though, I'm feeling much better today but cautious.

Howzit Randy,
You take it easy my friend. Take it slow and enjoy life. In Hawaii we say "If you can, Good. If you can not, You can not"

Hey Peter, that'd make a good title for your auto-biography:
"From Burrs to Bora Bora"

Re: Bucket List
I would love to travel around China to see the Penjing collections and growers, temples, gardens, Great Wall, Forbidden City, etc. 2nd choice - Japan. If I get to visit Scotland and Ireland, then I will consider my life complete!

Used to be, you could buy a Harley (the smaller the better) ship it to the UK, fly there, ride it for your vacation and have arranged to sell it to someone there and make enough money off the sale to pay for the vacation.
With the price of fuel and the cost of everything else, I'm not sure if it still works, but even if you could breduce the cost of the trip it would nbe worth it.

Oh fine, I guess, I'm not invited...
Of course, me with such a fine kilt, would be so out of place in SCOTLAND! (Yeah, I know, today's finest pub crawlers would laugh me out of the pub!)
Tis a fine idea for a visit though!

Re: Bucket List
hmmmm.... when I was younger it was to go off to some fabulous place and enjoy the sights... now my perspectives are different... most of the things I'd really love to do are more inner work.
BUT... just for fun, I'd like to collect a beautiful ancient tree... and have it accepted to the national collection. Then I know it would be taken care of "forever". So there would be one I wouldn't be worried about. :p
