Hi Jun
Very promising potensai. I like very much your casuarinas. They look the most promising and in just a few years they can become really beautiful bonsai. Keep us posted with their progress pl. and thanks for sharing.

Re: my nursery and some materials
thanks.
the last pot is handmade, designed specially for the new lime berry.
yes rudi, we have lot of casaurina here in the philippines, with some variation in between from a very rough cork bark to just simple brownish color bark, mine got the cork bark, with natural shari and jin.
thanks cosmos. il post it again someday. when its matured and some styling done.

Re: my nursery and some materials
thanks John... i forgot the scientific name. its berries are black in color. rare for this plant to have this kind of natural twisted trunk, just got lucky to find it. im still not sure on how to design it as a bonsai tree. its huge and heavy, around 5' 2", 30kls.
thanks Pola,
Posted some design for the two murraya. i hope i can achieve it.

Re: my nursery and some materials
The pot for the lime berry looks like it was custom made for the tree. Where did you have it made? How much do custom pots like these cost to have made?
I enjoyed visiting your nursery (virtual) again! Great trees!!!
Salut, Todd

Duhat is Syzygium jambolanum, a relative of Australian brush cherry. Yangya is a mystery.

Re: my nursery and some materials
Iris, thanks for the info.
im looking for the scientific name of "yangya". even in some bonsai competition books that i have here, there is no scientific name for that tree, but it is one of the most common bonsai material here in the philippines. i tried to google it, but negative. the description of the tree- is that it got small size leaves around 2cm in the wild as bonsai the leaves got smaller to about less than 1 cm , grows with some thorn on the new branches, then the thorns grows to become the new branch. the tree grows more than 8 meters in the wild habitat.
i have other yangya, il post it next time with some close up shots.
