US native hawthorn
This hawthorn came from the North western part of the USA.
it has white flower and dark fruit that ripe in summer. i do not keep the fruit when the tree is in training. work that is done now is pruning and wiring.
the shoots that grow downward are cut off. Some thick branches and weak leggy branches are also removed.

Re: US native hawthorn
Hi Boon,
Do you know, is that C. douglasii?
If so it's also native to California and I'll add it to my list of outstanding bonsai with California native species.
