Great to see its gonna make it Chris. The huge one I collected that day is going strong also...but not quite as strong as yours. Make sure you keep him in full sun. Sadly my hackberry did not survive.

You should be able to cut it back in about 4 weeks and select some shoots you want to retain as future branches. By the end of the summer roots will be well established.
