Re: another collected stump update
Sam,
you are amazing!!!
One day I will find a usable Orange flowering Boug [ fades to a pinky red ] which is my favourite colour, and then beg you for soil mix, growing technique and so on...................
For now I will just sit and enjoy.
Thanks for all the entries showing your work over the years, it is inspiring!!!!!!
From he who can kill a Bougainvillea, just by looking at it -
Until.

Love all your Bouganvillea, incredible pieces. This one is no exception. Thanks for sharing. I really need to hunt for better "urban yamadori". There is an untapped resource out there of old landscape plantings that are scheduled for rejuvenation or demolition that I have not explored enough as much as I should. Thanks for the inspiration.

Absolutely agree with this. I just collected 6 trees from a garden renovation.Leo Schordje wrote:Thanks for sharing. I really need to hunt for better "urban yamadori". 2 large Murraya and 4 Buxus
Back on Topic, Lovely trees Sam. I have a few larger Bougy myself that have been collected, but nothing quite the size of yours.
I particularly like the idea of burning to add interest to the carvings

Hey Sam,
i remember this post when you first dug these, they look great. I ve since aquired some nice bougies of my own from the landscape guys at my work. A couple bigs ones too. My question is how do you get so much growth keeping them in a pot, what do you feed them and how oftwn?
