Some pots for the new gallery

Here are a few new pots.
First a BIG commissioned 'Dry Riverbed' pot that will be going to a customer in Florida.

Here are a few 7inch to 10 inch pots.

I like this 'Rose' colored ash glaze I came up with a while back.

A couple shohin cascade pots about 4" across and 5-6" high.

A new larger 'Bamboo and Sun' semi-cascade pot. It is a thrown and altered soft-cornered square with hand carved bottom and feet.
All four sides have bamboo on them and two oposite sides have a sun.
It measures 28 cm wide and 15.5 cm high.

and, the other side that was kissed a bit heavier by flames. Bamboo and sun reversed.

Here are a few shots of a big, heavy commissioned pot made for a Ponderosa pine.
The order was for a big ,square unglazed 'cement block' of a pot with all softly rounded corners and an incurved top lip that was not made from a seperate piece that might leave a seam showing on the side ( This was a bit of a challenge) . Inside was to be ( and is exactly!) 10 inches x 10 inches x 7 inches deep. (Outside is 11 x 11 x 8 1/2).

I love this pot Dale very nice and powerful. Would be god o see the tree potted up in it

This was the first one fired and now I think I got the hang of it. I just needed better brushes.

Another large unglazed oval similar to an earlier one. Some great flame effects on this one.
It went to a great customer at this last weekends show.





A while back I started a new line I called "Repaired Pots".This is the largest one I've made so far. A large cascade with two sides cut out and then replaced to look like they were welded back in and riveted for the repairs.
I started bt throwing this pot twice as thick as I normally would then rolling out the removed part more tofit back in nice and give a repaired cast iron look to it.
just something new I thought about for a while?
