Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Hello Mr. Cochoy,
Stunning work as usual.... would the dry riverbed with green be for sale?
Thanks Brian G.

Not that I'm surprised, but it's awesome to see the creative designs and meticulous detail work you come up with.

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Thank you for commenting guys.
Brian, I sent you a PM.
Another large unglazed oval similar to an earlier one. Some great flame effects on this one.
It went to a great customer at this last weekends show.
A while back I started a new line I called "Repaired Pots".This is the largest one I've made so far. A large cascade with two sides cut out and then replaced to look like they were welded back in and riveted for the repairs.
I started bt throwing this pot twice as thick as I normally would then rolling out the removed part more tofit back in nice and give a repaired cast iron look to it.
just something new I thought about for a while?

Thanks Vic.
Quite a few others done or in the works. Beetles, Praying Mantis', dragonflies, spiders, cicada, etc. etc.
They seem to be getting better the more I do. Having the right brushes made all the difference.
I'm working on a requested oval pot right now for a fellow who goes by 'Spyder'. I think it will be interesting.

You're welcome Dale.
I take it that Spyders pot will involve an arachnid then !!

Re: Some pots for the new gallery
Dale, the dry riverbed style is my fave of everything you make. (I especially like the green in the crevices.)
I almost got one at the PBA show but the only one you had left was a bit too small for the tree I was shopping for.
There's always next year...

Thank you Lordy,
i like making those but very time consuming and I waste quite a bit of glaze.
There is always custom ordering to size.

Very nice Dale! The dry river bed with the green highlite is my favorite followed close by the insects. They look like fossels. Hey maybe fossels will be next? I wish I lived closer to you I'd love to take your pottery course.
