hey Jonas - even if you cut there, the next section down is quite empty too... long straight and barren...
as is the section below that one...
hard to see in the pics, but what about an even shorter tree ?

yes kevin..a little tricky the space betwen branches futher down is ok i think
it just to many...im a little afraid to cut to many branches in one go
its a quiet exclusive and precius tree..

I agree with Kevin and would add with a grain of salt as I am NOT a white pine expert, but:
Consider leaving the top for now but focus on branch selection as well as identifying your future leader. You can wire everything out and remove some shading growth. It may look funny for a while, but the top would be a sacrifice growth in oder to give the tree more energy to recover from your styling, and can be removed later. Some of those whirls however should be addressed sooner rather than later as the can contribute to reverse taper.

I would cut the tree down to the point you have marked and watch what happens. It seems the upper/bare portion of the tree may still be active but I don't see that part of the tree doing anything other than trying to attract resources in exchange for meager and useless growth. Cutting the top back will force the energy into more useful portions of the tree. You can always cut it back further when you understand how the tree is going to react.
