For-Sale Olive
Hehe,
As usualy, I drop in on the garden centres in fall, to see whether these is anything to be had. So I found this little olive for 50% off. I think I in the end payed 10 euros.. Not very helathy. But I decided to give it god substrate, insectiicide and a position in the greenhouse. Now it is waiting for spring to see whether the choice was right..
As purchased:
Very yucky roots
Roots clean out
Nice flare though
Potted up, spring time!

Re: For-Sale Olive
Well it's got a bit of a trunk and plenty of roots (albeit growing in some pretty horrible muck) so it's got to be worth 10 Euros. Good luck (although they're surprisingly tough so should be ok).

Haha. Yes. Horrible soil which explained the state of affairs very quickly. It has been in the new substrate for a few weeks now. No leaf-loss. It will be fine come spring. Yesterday I picked up 2 more from a differen place. Same pricing, worse state. Much more interesting trunks. Will post after christmas.
Merry christmas all!
