Dragon are hosting an all day workshop today.
All is ready.
We await our guests for the day workshop here at the Dragon's lair.
We have a number of trees ready for the participants to select and work on. No doubt more trees will arrive throught out the day.

Hi,
Just a few pictures to start and an small explanation.
The saturday workshop with all bonsai artists, the trees, tools, etc. never really go going. we did work on a few trees, but the mood was one of discussion and reflection on the possible future of the trees, plus there was a huge amount of laughter and fun during the sessions.

The trees that on Saturday that were worked on.
A fine itogawa juniper.
John removes the wire holding the deadwood spiral.
With all the wire removed, John used jinxing pliers to further shape the deadwood.
it was agreed Manuel liked the end result.
Dan's privet.
...at the end of the day.
Dan also brought in a tall twin trunk box he had dug. Lots of ideas. Lots of possible futures. one for the future workshops.
a procumben tanuki
As a group we did work on this scots pine, but i can't find any pictures during or after?
I found them.
The boy discuss the options
Direction agreed, we set to work wiring, trimming and shaping.

Re: Dragon Saturday workshop live...
Sunday we held our bonsai car boot and auction.
The weather was very kind to us again and many bonsai buddies arrived for the days bargains and with cash to spend.
The auction started at midday. Far too many people wanted to get into the poly tunnel.
The auction went off with a bang. Many items at great prices. Everyone attending went away with a bargain or 3.
Over the 2 days the atmosphere was great. Bonsai and more bonsai in a relaxed, sharing and informal way. Lots of smiling faces on new and old bonsai friendship.
I feel those attending did themselves and the art of bonsai, a power of good this weekend and I hope others felt the same.

Hi Jerry,
Fantastic pics again
Smithys little elm looks good in the alcove and that with the shrine scroll seemed very fitting for the whole feeling of the weekend.
Roys Potentilla is a little beauty, great nebari and trunk diameter
John H's juniper was always special but with the refinement work of recently its better again
Regards Chris

Re: Dragon Saturday workshop live...
Finally,
A few more trees at the event, either won at the auction or brought to display.
I would like to thank everyone that supported Dragon's weekend informal bash. Members and guests alike.
You all gave so much to make this event a such a joy to attend.
Dragon would like to invite you all to attend next year their Saturday workshop, bonsai auction and car boot sale and be part of this great weekend.
Dates etc. will be decided soon.
We have to consult our weather guru to ensure fine weather and she is asleep right now.
