Re: Forsythia, the yellow giant
2013 i repoted the Forsythia in a smaller pot. But he was not as small as i wanted.
2015 the tree was blooming nice.
Today was the great moment. Now it was possible to plant him in a smaller pot. Now i can carry the tree alone to make better pictures.
First i removed the rootball under the red line. He began rotting already. So i could remove.
Now the pot has a perfect size.
Forsythia, 95 cm high.
In a few weeks he will Bloom again, and spring beginns.
bye

Herbert,
I always enjoy a great deal reading your posts. Straightforward, elegance, and great details of progression. Great work as always, thanks for posting.

Thank you sir,for this progression.Wonderful work on a neglected species. The floral display is remarkable and all the more precious for being early and ephemeral!

Re: Forsythia, the yellow giant
What started out as unassuming hedging material, has been transformed into a fantastic looking tree with the use of some excellent carving and styling work. top stuff
Thanks for sharing.
I think its fair to say, that many of us including myself, would of struggled to see a tree in such material, i think many would of passed this up. makes it all the more inspirational.

Really good work. I've been looking for a decent forsythia to work with for a while now. Growing some in my yard but it'll be a while before they are ready for consideration.
Please update with a pic when in full bloom. I'm starting to get anxious for spring...
