This are some photos of the progression of quite big Forsythia from spring 2010-2014. The crown has to become much bigger, but I think the tree is on a good way.

Great trunk/trunks and excellent development Marco.

I regularly walk past a Forsythia in a neighbours garden with a similar base. Your example makes me think that I should call round one day and make them an offer!!!
