spekboom micro forest

this was just for fun...

started playing with this in march 2014 with some micro terra cotta doll house pots



knowing that spekboom like "tight feet", i wondered how tight and for how long

so i put 4 of them together
(four because they were going into a small 4 cornered outer pot)



snugged a few pebbles around to stabilize them



and now here they are 1 year later... still contained in their tiniest of tiny pots





now i might actually start some pruning...
it might be cool if i can make a micro canopy...

Should make a nice little micro-canopy. They grew pretty tall in those little pots. Did you have to bore out some drainage holes?

no drainage... i just pour water around the pots and they take up what they need...

could be what has kept them so small over the course of a year when my other ones go gangbusters

Good grief I grew up on numan! Even had a website devoted to him.
