Privet multi trunk
Collected this from a hedge row just over three years ago , currently having a great autumn flush of new growth . The bark is thin and flaky with a great oval rich green leaf , had some natural hollows that i've opened up but considerable more carving to complete. Cheers Neil

My! That species (L. chinensis) sure gets around. It is a noxious weed here in the S.E. USA. But it's also a very nice plant for bonsai, and yours is particularly nice. Look forward to its development.

Hi Jim yip it's a noxious weed in parts of New Zealand as well, and I agree it makes for superb Bonsai material with hollows and deadwood great to work on and enhance.
