Juniperus horizontalis
Hi all you lovelies
I planted this Juniperus in a hollow stump in a pathway in my garden. (1999) Needless to say everyone walked right over it, like a welcome mat. Bleddy stupid idea I had. hihihihi
Anyway then I had a struck of brilliance, which only lasted a few seconds. But the tree was ripped out of the ground and slapped into a blue bonsai pot where it sat for the next couple of years, not doing much. Poor thing.

Last week I tackled it and out of the ashes rose a Phoenix. Im still cleaning the deadwood and will then Lime sulphur it.
What do you think , and what kind of pot should I plant it in in September? Shall I take of more Foliage?

Nice work there! (scratches his head and thinks.. I have one of those burried in the shrubs somewhere..)
I would probably go for a very simple unglazed roundish pot..?, along these lines?

Hi Andre
You could catch me in a trap baited with a blue pot.
I have convinced myself conifers are a figment of the imagination and given up on keeping one alive, but nice transformation of a little tree that didn't have much going for it.
Lime sulphur, little bit more foliage and a.......smaller blue pot!
Cheers

Or, NOT. Maybe a glazed brown or tan. Junipers don't belong in Chinese blue pots!

yeah...
because you certainly don't want to be ostracized at "the contest" because you put it in a pot that you like

it would probably be OK if it was Inuit or French or Turkish
and maybe more acceptable if it were cobalt or azure

but all wise-crackeryness aside, i REALLY like that lang pot that you posted, leatherback !!!

nonononono! Blue modifies Chinese. It's that gawdawful neon electric blue that doesn't go with a juniper and epitomizes cheapness.
