Chinese Juniper "Michael"
one of the Arbor Arts Collective members purchased this tree from the back of a magazine in about 1984 ("GROW YOUR OWN BONSAI TREE !") and at that time it was a pre-bent stick in a pot maybe 4 years old... flash forward 30 years and this one had been "on the back-burner" for quite a while, but he wanted somebody to do something with it and i was honored that he offered it to me at an embarrassingly reasonable exchange rate... but it did need some work:
but under that head of hair was alot of interesting and fun bits...
some preliminary work - like getting it into a mica pot so i can drill some holes and eventually hook up the spanish inquisition devises on one or 2 of its limbs, lose a another limb or 2 get, some d-wood started and giving him a bit of a haircut...
more pics to follow...
