Today after all communications were cut off from the affected areas we are starting to receive news of the amount of devastation this super typhoon brought to our land. 10meter high storm surge that kills hundreds in an instant, those who felt that they were safe inside their concrete homes were tapped by this high waters, some stayed in the second floor but the roof were blown away by the 270km per hour winds. and some were even drowned in the second floor, some people whose houses were torn by the wind stayed inside their vehicles but were drowned by the waters. Some newscasters and their news crews stayed inside huge churches but the roofs and ceiling were also torn apart like papers and can be seen live in their coverage. After the storm pass the total wreckage were seen in local TV news. Entire town and cities were like war scenes. and dozens of dead were seen in the one pan of camera angle.
...and the effect of this super typhoon covered several regions in just one blow. Nature is very powerful and deadly.

Thank you for the prayers for our country.

It's looking pretty awful. My daughter married into a huge Filipino family who are all working on what help they can send from over here. She says she remembers when Hurricane Kate roared through Tallahassee back in the 80s. She was pretty scared then with huge trees crashing down around our house and it was NOTHING like this one.
