That's a nice looking nandina, Jim, and the color is beautiful. I think it deserves a better, more interesting pot. Have you considered a glazed pot?

always appreciate your bonsai on display. Would like to see you maybe use a scroll with your main bonsai instead of the same olde framed picture. I know from experience, that quests don't have any clue and they really couldn't care either way. But I think appropriate art work on the scroll could set the stage for the fall color. migrating geese might be appropriate.

Thanks all.
Russell, yes a new pot is needed. I looked at the Expo, but I thought glazed pot choice was very poor this year (all cheap Chinese blue).
Dick . . . The tree is displayed on a table under pictures t that are permanently hung on our walls. A scroll would be out of place among all the Ukiyoe prints on my walls (and wouldn't fit well on the wall, anyway.) I'm not enough of a devotee of the very traditional Japanese display to mess up my living room with a toknonoma space, etc. So, "what you see is what I got." <g> But thanks for the thoughts.

Dale that is a blue pot worth having. Jim better jump on that -- perfect for your Nandina.

Sorry . . . I'm REALLY not looking for a blue pot -- but that IS a very nice one.

That pot is gone. It went to someone at the NC Arb show in Asheville for the 30 or 40% off.
I don't recall Jim looking?
