A year in the life of a weeping style Podacarpus
This was a podacapus with practically no taper, a bit of reversve taper and a large scar just above the base.
About 2 years after being collected from a garden and chopped
After the initial carving, trimming and wiring
After a years growth
And a couple hours later

I wanted to put out an idea of what could be done with these. It's a tree not used very much for bonsai here for some reason. There are plenty in nurseries or gardens so it's easy to find a decent one to start on. I think that they really lend themselves to this style.
