Bald Cypress Grove: Advice needed
I'm planting a Bald Cypress grove... nine of them... 1' to 2' babies.
Do I plant them in a (plastic) bonsai pot with drainage for a few years or do I plant them in a tub without drainage with water up to the base?
I live in Florida and my neighborhood is surrounded by marsh with the most amazing bald cypress... will have to post a picture... they are typically in sitting water the majority of the year.
Any insight appreciated... have seen it done both ways... looking for persuasion one way or the other.
These are farm grown not collected... am going to collect one (larger specimen) in February when all the critters go to sleep... that's for a later discussion.

I'd plant them with drainage. Bald cypress live in standing water because they can and they don't have to compete with other trees. It isn't because they "like" it.
