Famous Juniperus literati
It took me years finally getting this tree! This juniper has been shown at international exhibitions such as Ginkgo Award and was published in several glossy magazines. It was styled since 1986 when Klaus Kolbe collected it and then went to his second owner who styled it for the next several years. Now there will be a lot of changes! The first step was made today: a new pot from Peter Krebs.

Re: Famous Juniperus literati
Congratulations on getting this tree. These drastic-bend literati trees are my favorite designs in bonsai. I am working with many trees in this style and find it challenging to create the impression of a natural feeling.

juniper
To "sublim" juniper, we generally clean the bark of the t living vein who is red under the first skin, the general appearance will be much better , wonderfull tree

Thanks for your comments!
abcd, I usually clean the bark and wire a juniper when it has recovered completely from repotting. Not before that!
Because this allways leads to some injuries.

Re: Famous Juniperus literati
well done,
there is no better feeling than getting a tree you have wanted for ages - once or twice i have either waited years or searched for years to find the special trees.
very nice pot, if the 2 foliage areas complemented each other with similar but mirrored design it would be in perfect harmony
trees with history are brilliant
cheers Marcus

Very nice. Perfect pot for it, simplicity and right colour.
How much did you pay for it? (the tree)

Re:
The smaller pot gives me an uncomfortable feeling. Seems to be out of balance. Just my 1 1/2 cents worth.

Hi everybody,
thank you all for your feedback!!
Alain, please don't be angry with me but I don't want to say anything about the price...
abcd, for me its the same feeling that Doug has... A smaller pot looks very unbalanced.
