Zelkova serrata seedlings
Hi all!
I've tried my hand at sowing zelkovas with some success. However the seedlings have sprouted a second time this summer and with multiple shoots from the top. Should I remove all but one now or is it better to wait until dormancy? (They were replanted a month ago into individual pots and the growing season stops roughly mid-september where I live.)
Thankful for all hints

Hi Anette
The plant is very tiny now, and should not have removed anything for now....show us the plants next year same time, and let us see what to do next.
kind regards Yvonne

Re: Zelkova serrata seedlings
Thank you again and please forgive the late reply (I've been indulging my other hobby, viking reenactment).
I understand that the plants are way too young to make anything like shaping for several years. It's just that I'm used to tree seedlings shooting straight up the first two or three years rather than branching out the way these have and I thought I've done something wrong when they did.
Thanks again and I'll keep documenting if they survive their first winter.
