At The Weyerhauser bonsai gardens, Federal way,Washington

May 11 — World Bonsai Day
Two free lecture/demonstrations by visiting artists:
Robert Cho — "Chinese Style Penjing" — 10:30 AM - Noon
Joe Harris — "Japanese Style Bonsai" — 1:30 - 3:00 PM

I'll be volunteering all day friday to get the place in shape If your close by, I hope you can come....

Got to meet Joe harris today. found out he's working on juniper tomorrow. weather should be perfect and event is undercover.

It would be really nice to see some pictures.... (hint hint)

I thought about it, but as a volunteer there, I'm called on to do things , set up, various things during, clean up, so it's not that I can plan on being available to give coverage... Sorry.

So, basically, this is just an "announcement".....

I posted it a coupla days before the event (mother's day weekend) to make sure anyone visiting or near by would be aware and if interested able to join in. Weather was perfect both days and then monday the rains came so that was lucky. I'm sorry you couldn't have gotten coverage. next time i'll have to see what I can do. I think I could pull off a before and after shot with the artist.

That's a shame. I haven't seen my old friend Joe since 1993 ----- wow, 20 years now.

Can ANYONE add some pictures and turn this "announcement" into something that should be in the discussion forum?

If it's any comfort joe mentioned you several times in his commentary talking about his rembrances of japan.
