White Contorted Flowering Quince

I got this tree from Brent at Evergreen Gardenworks in January. It is over 25 years old, and for a quince, has a very developed trunk. I experimented with a few different fronts and then, just yesterday, I decided on this one and styled the tree. I hope you enjoy my tree and the flowers.

I love this tree... the untamed character is really appealing. I think cleaning up to bring out the silhoutte will greatly improve the look.



Maybe later, a high quality glazed pot will do this tree some justice.

I agree that trimming that long branch is a good idea.

It does look to be a nice tree. I would, however, suggest that it be planted about 1/3 deeper to improve the looks of the base. As is, it looks uncomfortably perched attop a converging set of columns.

Thanks for your comment, Jim. We'll see how the roots thicken. Sometimes it takes me a long time to decide how I want the tree to go, but your comment suggests something to watch for.

I also agrees with Jim. About 2 inches deeper would make the composition better. I love Brent's trees. Good luck.
