Cut Myself On My Carving Tool, But Not Badly Enough
I was doing some carving on a branch cut using a wood chisel. I wanted it nice and smooth so it would heal over nicely. I took the time to sharpen the tool as best I could using a whetstone.
I didn't cut myself by letting the tool get away from me. I did it by proximity. I was reaching into the tree, watching that I didn't snap off any new shoots. But not watching where the other hand was leading the chisel. Then I ran the corner of the chisel about 3/4" along the side of my thumb.
Not a bad cut. Only a bit deeper than a scratch.
But my pride was injured more than my thumb. Idiot me thought to myself "I did a bad job of sharpening that. This cut should have required stitches."
I'll be sure to do better next time.

Haha, that's one way to look at it I suppose. Be sure to cut real deep next time!
