JABUTICABA - Myrciaria cauliflora Moyogi
Hello everyone, this a Myrciaria cauliflora bought at a regular nursery in mid august.
By the time I've bought it, it was about 1,5 meters high.
Here still unpruned:
It's nebari
The first thing I've did was to prune it in order to fit it in the car:
A couple of days later i've continued with the prunning.
Size comparasion:
72 days later, it was like this:
After a little cleaning:
5 months after the prunning I've decided to do some work on it:
Here is before:
After defoliating
Getting started
Almost there
Almost 2 hours later

I'm still not ok with it's appex, if any of have a suggestion, I would like it very much.
Kind Regards.

first of all...nice stock to work with...especially considering it was just regular old nursery stock...lucky you...
for the apex...i would experiment with the possibility of changing the planting angle a few degrees and compensate by moving both apexes to the left an inch or so...i think what could be happening is that the angle it is at right now doesnt leave you much room to play with as far as the apex is concerned...both of them are kinda "stuck" in a space, where if you start moving them too much the tree starts looking out of balance...so, if it where me, i would seek to free up this "space" they are confined to by changing the planting angle...i am useless at virts, so i hope that made sense.

when i typed it, i was thinking about changing the planting angle the other direction...but, you might be able to find a nice line that direction too...my point mainly was that sometimes when something feels off about an apex, it could have something to do with the orientation of the base, so playing with the angle a bit can help everything fall together nicely...
