Florida Elm forest
Florida elms are a sub specie? of the american elm.
This is a group that I first planted in 2004 and played with some over the next few years.
First picture is Feb. 2004, then a pic each from Feb. 2005, 2006 and 2007.
The last two pictures are from Dec. 2007.
In the spring of 2008 I took the main tree out and planted it in a seperate pot to grow the trunk a little larger and replanted the rest in the same box.
Unfortunatly, the trees had a bad year and didn't do much more than survive.
I'll replant the group soon in a pot and see if 2009 will be a better year for them.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Thanks luciano,
These Florida elms were collected from the wild here in Florida.
I'm not sure about the similarity to water elm.

The water elm is Planera aquatica. Not the same at all.
