Dear everybody,
I am in Japan under JICA scholarship from November 4th to Novermber 17th. I live in JICA TOKYO center near Hatagaya station on the Keio New Line (2 stops from Shinjuku).
Yesterday, I went to green bonsai club near Ueno Station and it is very nice. Now I want to go to some bonsai supplier gardens. I love shohin, mini bonsai and about the kinds of tree: black pine, shimpaku. Can you show me where to go?
Thank you so much and Best regards!

I only KNOW of the Green Club as a bonsai store in Tokyo these days, but when I lived there, MANY years ago, most of the large Ginza Department stores sold bonsai and supplies on their upper floors and roofs. You might take a look there. Then, I recall seeing ads in American bonsai magazines for an independent bonsai shop ON the Ginza, but I don't recall its name. Anyone at the Green Club can tell you of other bonsai locations in Tokyo. hey can also put you in touch with growers of the smaller bonsai sizes in the area. And then, there is Omiya Bonsai village, a short train ride from Tokyo.
