I wait for healing it for 8 month and now... new styleing have add to this tree
first pics, the progress from 2009-2010
photo in 2011
in 2012 before bonsai show
after bonsai show about only 15 day... what happen?
I'm decide to restlyeing it. this is my sketch.
After waiting for it's health, I'm start working.
result for now, and start waiting again
Thank you for looking, all comments are welcome.

I apologize for the rudimentary virtual. I had only seen your first two sets of images while I was creating this. Looks like we had similar idea about trunkline. your final image is much more sophisticated than mine....I like it!
Thank you Peter,
I have edits this topic 2 time because the image link not work . I wish you are can see all images now.
I like your virtual, and it is can be the future of this tree if it is need less foliages .

What a great comeback! Sure didn't look like much hope in that one pic. I really like the movement of the trunk. Glad it survived.

Thank for sharing, can u show me what kind of soils did u use for this tree? Proportion?
My soil mix is very simple as 15-20% Humus and mix with pumice, gravel, sand and chacoal

Your virtual looks very nice. If you accomplish style your tree like that, than is gonna look great.

Re: restyling my procumbens
the perfect lesson............for us all
rushing a newly styled tree into the stress of a show - (travel, indoors, bad light, dry air etc etc) is pointless - the trees are never ready anyway and all it does is ruin the hard work you have put in.
Well done for saving some of the tree - but realise it may be just about ready for a low key one day local show in 4 or 5 years at best. I have seen a number of newly worked trees with dead branches, huge foliage drop etc from sitting in multiple day shows too soon. One day expo's are fine for most material - longer needs very healthy settled trees i believe.

Very good recovery of tree and design. The damage looks like it got sprayed with something.

I agree with Dorothy... Fantastic work.
Can I ask: do you use pencil or paints for your art works??
As for the tree... Go for this design! It'll be a looker!!
