Often roots will have tons more personality than the parent, as movement goes.
I discovered this through Rob Kempinski and utilized the technique on my Ficus Nerifolia root cuttings with excellent results. I only wish I learned it earlier.

Dario, species that give water sprouts from their roots around the main trunk are more or less suitable for taking root cuttings and growing new plants.
