oh man, this would be so great if surrounded by water, with a rather bright blue bottom... a real eyecatcher but would make it a bit 'kitschy' i suppose, but why not, since you allready went for the pirate ship

That's right!! Been doing a little forum stalking. lol

Instead of real water, what if you choose a moss or lichen that could look like "choppy water"? of just a contrasting color ground cover?

That could be done a few days before and during a show (if this will be shown) . We struggle to keep moss alive here. This is our cold season (26 to 34 deg Celcius) that's why moss thrives at this season.
