ficus in a large pot

hi there everyone.
I am from Malaysia

this plant has been in training the last 20 years.
Some figs have formed.
will be sizing it down soon.
lots of work to be done

I'm interested in seeing the pot properly. Is it a very shallow pot on a matching stand or is that just the top of a deeper pot?

hello there.
started work on top.
ready for a shape change.  
Removed some lower branches.
filed them out and grew the foliage to a more rounder
and taller look.

I dont think that is quite what Russel had in mind....hihihihihii  

No seriously, Hi and welcome.  Would you like these wonderful bored people to comment and help you with your bonsai, turning it from an beautiful topary to an breathtaking bonsai,  or are you just showing us your wonderful artistic capabilities?

You need to remove one or you will get reverse taper there.

you have a nice ficus.Its great. But the top looks artificial, i mean the apex structure. May be you ask some experts in our club to comment and then do the needful.

1 year later.
Last major job I managed was to wire the lowest branches to correct the angle.
I’m quite delighted with the results.
The top is next.
I’m working on it .
Clueless at the moment.
Ficus being Ficus has produced lots of branch roots.
I’m glad the trunk has thickened
