I'm interested in seeing the pot properly. Is it a very shallow pot on a matching stand or is that just the top of a deeper pot?

Me too. Are you planning on cutting back the rest of the tree like you did the first branch?

thanks Andre,
btw, South Africa is an awesome place.
I had an amazing time in Johannesburg years back.
I'm just showing my talents(?), so to speak,
and any comments to improve is very much

Re: ficus in a large pot
started to prune back and reshape after allowing some growth.
cannot decide on the lower right branch to remain or modify?
manage to carve out the sawn part (3rd pict)
any comments from viewers most welcome.

Can you see the 3 branches coming from the same spot on the right here:
You need to remove one or you will get reverse taper there.

hello,
you have a nice ficus. Its great. But the top looks artificial, i mean the apex structure. May be you ask some experts in our club to comment and then do the needful.
