Great day at the Den yesterday with John Pitt. John joined us for the day, we felt that rather than tie him down to an agenda for the day we would just bring in trees and let him talk about them and we asked questions as we went along .
From the reaction at the end of the day it seemed to work well
Early in the morning and members start to arrive and coffee is on the cards

Hi Chris

Great day on Sunday. Glad to see a large turnout and I would like to thank John for a very entertaining and informative day (again).

An excellent start to the Dragons round of organised events for the rest of the year.

Love that windswept Hawthorn! The Larch in the custom cascade pot is sweet!

Hi All,
Just like to add my thanks to John and Chris for another enjoyable day, I'm sure everyone who braved the cold on Sunday went away having learned something new.
Cheers

Hi Chris,
I'm going to have to get on with refining the carving etc it as its budding out all over and it will be much easier to work on before the shoots extend - the blood loss is reduced that way!
Cheers.

Yes Andrew but the English keep nipping over the border to take them,we do keep the best of them in Wales
I told my friend Andrew off for the bent end of the windswept branches on the photo we all had a good day

Thanks for showing us Chris.

This Hawthorn is absolutely amazing...... I want to say to the 'non-purists' Smile, who cut off the thorns of thorny trees, ( sorry Iris)
Can you imagine this tree without thorns? LOOK at it! you can almost feel the hardship and pain this tree went through.

he is whispering in the wind ..
"....you can look but you cannot stay..."

Very nice to Paul. Which one is he?

Love and light

Hi Andre
Thanks for the reply
Paul is the really old one on the right, the "boy" on the left is Andrew, he made the pot he is using Eric's method with the concrete mix!!!!
