Did a quick google search and the bark though somewhat similar is very different. The photos here are like papery and chestnut is not.Smithy wrote:Castanea sativa

might be wrong but most estates have big sweet chestnuts on their estates .

I have a feeling the bottom pic of Brians with the sign and flakey bark is a different tree.
