Bonsai Blogs
There has been some talk about bonsai blogs in the last day or two. I frequent both bonsai blogs and forums...there is something to be learned from both.
For those of you new to blogs one of the unique features is the ability to subscribe(RSS). This basically means each time a blogger makes a new post on a blog that you are subscribed to, that post is delivered to your blog reader page automatically...it's actually pretty cool.
A couple years ago on the Bonsai Nut forum a user shared a bundle of 35 blogs...I thought I am game I will give this a try...so I set up a Google Reader account and figured out how to use it (search youtube for tutorials). Within a year, those 35 blogs turned into more than 100 from around the world. One of the neat features of google reader is the "translate to my language feature"...it is anything but perfect but generally works well enough to get the gist.
Another very nice feature is that in Google reader, I just click on the folder that contains all my bonsai blogs and the new posts are listed at the top...it also puts a number next to the folder that indicates how many new post there are.
You can find blogs about everything now...as with all the internet, you will need to figure out which ones interest you and which ones are just crap.
For those interested, I am attaching a link to a bundle of 114 bonsai blogs and youtube channels from around the world! You can use this link to begin subscribing...if you already have a google account it really is quite simple to get started. Just look for the link on the page that says ...getting started with Google Reader.

Good luck,
John

Sweet! Thanks for sharing, John. This definitely cuts down the time on searching for blogs.

Re: Bonsai Blogs
I don't spend too much time on blogs, as I find I barely have enough time to keep up on all the other bonsai stuff I read, BUT I do enjoy hopping onto some of the blogs our members list at the bottoms of their screen posts. Its fun to see what everyone is working on that doesn't make its way to the forum.

Re: Bonsai Blogs
Excelent - thanks John -
The new breed of bonsai blogger is superb - luckily the computer literate apprentices who've studied in japan love writing about their work and future careers. They are a great source of very up to date methods and techniques. This list will give me more to read as I wait patiently for willowblogger, Tyler Peter T etc
cheers Marcus
