Hi Hu'ng Tran... Thanks for stating what should be obvious. The seating of your stone is not a "daiza." Calling the stone "Mother" also distinguishes it from Japanese stone practice. We see many terrific stones here that express individual, regional & sometimes eccentric practice. Each form adds flavor to stone appreciation.
Hi Dick... If the black stone was mounted as suiseki, a daiza of black color (either painted or stained) would be a poor choice. Japanese stones should never meld into their seating as though it was part of the imagined object.
