In my opinion you are missing out on having a much better tree by not listening to this person's suggestion. The slight tilt adds drama and is also much more aesthetically pleasing. After seeing this virt all the other pics just look wrong.

If you read Herbert's post from earlier this week you will see that he intends to re-position the tree at its spring repot.Kinetikx wrote: In my opinion you are missing out on having a much better tree by not listening to this person's suggestion. My apologies, I absolutely missed that. My only excuse is that I was up entirely too late and my eyes must have stopped working.

It is amazing what you have achieved with this tree Herbert. Another confirmation of an old wisdom that a vision supported by capable hands can convert even a substandard tree into a very interesting one.
The ramification seems to be more or less in the same status in the last couple of years, which gives the tree a nice airy look. I personally prefer the front view from 2014 with the crown close to the centre of the base and less accent on the deadwood.
PS As a passionate skier, I do love and envy the views from your place.

Wow, this tree is getting better and better every time I see it. The deadwood en the holes in it gives the tree a very fairylike shape. It is like you just Walker info a fairytale. I like it really much.
