Prunus Mahaleb from 2000
Hi everybody,
the last for today. I bought this tree in 2000. As i was at home, i thougt "Oh god what a ugly thing"
The next 6 years i dit nearly nothing with this tree. I had no idea how to create a good tree from this ugly stump.
This is 2006
I only knew i had to do somthing realy big. Otherwise this tree will never be a good tree. So i startet to carving.
And now after the transformation i like this tree really very much.
Blooming last year.
The tree a few days ago.
Prunus Mahaleb, 60 cm high. Pot: Peter Krebs
Hope you like it. Otherwise the tree comes into the organic waste ;-)))

Amazing work.
I love the base work you did, it gives it an ancient feel.

Nice work. The carving gives it a lot of character. When the dead sections age and the branches ramify it will be even better. Sweet pot too!

I was just looking at the 2006 pic and saw that transistor radio sitting behind and I thought that could not be right.. this picture must have been taken way back in the 1980s
Nice transformation though.. very inspiring. I have a stump like that I might want to ship to Austria.

Amazing, this tree just keeps getting better and better. It is inspiring me to think about how to tackle a couple of stumps growing in pots in my backyard. I have a ginkgo and a grape that could really benefit from some serious carving. Thank you for showing us the updates. This cherry is fabulous.
