MY ANTIQUE REPRO POT IS BACK
Many of you might know the story of my antique repro pot..
Finally I got back my remaining pots of 135 pcs from the 250 pcs.
This is a limited edition pot of 500 pcs, and now only 135 pcs left. . It is a mini size repro of an antique bonsai pot from Ming Dynasty. Every piece is hand-numbered with my personal seal on the bottom, nicely packed in a silk woven box with silk nesting inside and includes certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered by me.
The most interesting part of this pots is that they are produced in the traditional way in the “Qian Shu” ancient Dragon Kiln in Yixing, China.
"Qian Shu" ancient Dragon Kiln is located in the Qian Shu village of Yixingm Jiangshu, China. It was built in the Ming Dynasty more than 600 years ago. It was called "Dragon Kiln" because of the unique shape of the kiln in length of 43.4 meters, 2.3 meters wide and 1.55 meters in height. It has 42 pairs of control windows in both sides which looks like a dragon's backbone laying down from the hill.
"Qian Shu" ancient Dragon Kiln uses pinewood and bamboo for the burning process, which normally reaches 1150 Celsius in 10 hours of burning time.
"Qian Shu" ancient Dragon Kiln is acclaimed as one of the only two ancient kilns in China, which is still well maintained and used in the traditional method. It is also known as the first kiln built in this area, which started the history of Zi-sha ceramic pot of Yixing.
Now, the pots are available at :

Re: MY ANTIQUE REPRO POT IS BACK
hi,
As one of the entrants of Roberts' virtual styling challenge I was lucky enough to recieve one of these pots as my prize. Not only is it a beautiful pot in a fantastic silk box but it has the uniqueness and history associated with it, as detailed by robert above.
Our first club meeting this year was titled 'pots and potting' ao I took the pot in to show and talk about. We decided it would be a great item to use at the occasional larger show, either planted with an accent or homing a small bronze statue, 'hiding' in the pot peeking out.
These few remaining pots are certainly a small piece of bonsai history and in my opinion should be snapped up quickly.
best regards
Marcus

Thanks Marcus.
Sebastian, thanks as well. I did this pot NOT for business, but as I was one of the very active Editor of AoB, we were talking of doing something to raise fund for AoB, and then came out this idea.

Re: MY ANTIQUE REPRO POT IS BACK
Several members, including myself, were fortunate enough to obtain one way or another their copy of this pot and I am glad the previous issue is now resolved enough to allow Robert to offer the remaining pots for sale.
The rest, as they say, is history and should remain as such.

Re: MY ANTIQUE REPRO POT IS BACK
Mine is in my collection of interesting pots along with my Stone Monkey ones and some others that I have there just because I like them.
Jun, entirely in the spirit of a bit of fun, I'd be less concerned about the meeting of the pot and a tree than I would be about the meeting of the pot and the inevitable outcome of that kid's obvious constipation problem. I'd get the pot off him pretty quick.

He likes your pot as well. I'll try to take him along with me, if my boss (her Mom) allows me to.
...He can also draw bonsai, and he calls it "bontai"...he is still struggling with the letter "S".hehehe.

jun
Fiona,
That is a reproduction of the reproduction, it is perfectly safe...hehehe.

I am not a lawyer but I've read enough copyright battles in the news between Google, Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Nokia, Sony, etc. that I doubt it goes that way.jun wrote:...These 500 pots are scattered all over the world. and just been in and out of the "courtroom" I bet Robert got the copyright internationally.

Sorry for the mistype Jun.
Dario, my copyright only cover Philippine. However, seems you missed the story. It was not about copyright, not about business, but a matter of principle..haha..
(sorry I can't mention it again here, Fiona will kick my ass...)

I got briefed and I am with you on the principle. I roll the same way (spend $100.00 to recoup $1.00 if necessary)Robert Steven wrote:Dario, my copyright only cover Philippine. However, seems you missed the story. It was not about copyright, not about business, but a matter of principle..haha..
