Air layering

Hello all my bonsai friends, i am rather new to bonsai and i know a little bit about it, i hope i will learn a lot on this site, i have some trees i will take pics of and post at a later time,but my question is about air layering, what is the best way and how to go about it, and should i use root hormone or not. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated thank you.

Yes, use root hormone if you want it t work.
