Ceramic Adhesive? What is this stuff? Is it a waterbase material that comes dry--like masonry? Is it a two component resin based material?

ovidiu1964...what can I say...fantastic job and creativity!

Crust, I found a motar that meets the same criteria as Europes c2te s1 Atlas cement Atelier bonsai slabs see here in another thread. It's at home depot too: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100091767/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=mortar&storeId=10051

I'm planning on trying this myself this summer, although I don't know if I have the best creativity lol

Ahh this is thin-set mortar used for tile laying (Versabond fortified thinset mortar) . I agree that the artist making these containers is amazing and alas I am very clumbsy. Perhaps I will try too. My problem is too many trees, too few pots and a poppers pocket book--at least for larger trays--anyways thanks for the pointer as to the material used.

Your creative brain's ideas just might be the solution to my effort to come up with some different pots for kusamono. cheers I just bought some air-dry clay yesterday in my effort to find something, but this sounds like a better solution. What did you use to create different colors.......concrete powdered coloring mixed in or just paint after dry? Very Happy

Domnu Ovidiu,

Ati putea sa faceti un tutorial?

So you work it in the shade? How much time do you have to work with a trowel to get multi layered looking slabs? Or do you do some work first, like covering the wire netting, let dry, then do another layer?

Thanks for sharing!!
