Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
Hello and welcome to the forum.
I'm assuming from what you've written that you have read the tutorial on posting images. If not, you can find it by clicking HERE.
If that doesn't work, there are two possibilities: first is that there is different method needed for your mac (though no-one else with a mac has said they have difficulties. More likely is that the system has chosen to "debar" you from posting images for a few days as you are a new poster. If you still cant post in a few days time, please let us know.
I have sent you a PM with an alternative so we can see your pic sooner.
Regards
Fiona

Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
Do you want others to comment on the tree? or do want other members to suggest a design for your tree? If that's the case you need to post several angles of pictures of your tree. Based on the sizes of the branches I think it is ready for the design,,,when the season for works are ready.

Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
Nice tree.
I believe it can use further trimming to properly channel all the growth/energy where needed come spring.

Thank you, yes please comment is welcome. Tomorrow I will make other pictures from all sides. Indeed it need more trimming but at that time it was just less than an hour out of nature.
Advise where to trim is welcome. The main trunk comes forward and goes back up. The tree can be smaller. I think a broom shape will be dull.

Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
It looks to me like you have a good trunk but the branches are too fat and uninteresting. I think I would cut back all the branches to stubs and build the branches again.

Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
You are right the branches in the top are much too thick. The top branches were very long like an umbrella.

Re: My new Yamadori Hawthorn
Thank you Will, I only had to shorten the tap root and one side root both were thin ones. The soil did not fall of the root ball when lifting. The top branches were long like an umbrella. Deers had clipped the tree for many years.
