Yamadori Hawthorn

Hi Friends,

Here is my Hawthorn that I bought of Tony Tickle last year in November. He collected the tree some 3 years ago.

Hope you like it. I know there are some great artists and much experienced people on here.
I would appreciate any comments / improvement tips.

Also, if any of you could please suggest a pot for the tree?

I can not suggest a pot...I can say you have one more nice nice tree!!! it is already a good bonsai in my opion..great job take care john

Hi Faisal... I told you that this was going to be an amazing tree... you implemented a good feeding regime and the growth from the third year in a collected Hawthorn is always good. It is too early to decide on a pot.... PLEASE do not repot until another growing season in this pot... you will be rewarded by a VERY good growth next year that you can create fine ramification. I am sure that this tree will be one of the best Hawthorn in the UK...

Thank you, Tony. It probably IS the best hawthorn I've ever seen. I've feeded it heavily with Bio Gold and rape seed cakes and also MiracleGro.
And I'm very pleased with the result. I Won't even think about re potting it for at least another 2 years.

WOW fantastic material but it looks like it has been styled like a pine tree with long sweeping branches, is this the design you wanted?
